Mezi tyto nástroje patří sběr a využívání determinant a ukazatelů zdraví, popisné a vysvětlující statistiky, rizikové a ochranné faktory a koncepty prevence a podpory zdraví na úrovni jednotlivce, komunity a životního prostředí.
