1. Key conditions  


1.1 Life threatening

The student/graduate must recognize them and immediately start to deal with them himself

- sudden cardiac death, myocardial infarction, pulmonary oedema

1.2 Delayed complications

The student/graduate must recognize the seriousness and propose a suitable course of action or consult professionally

- heart failure, pulmonary embolism, critical limb ischemia, deep vein thrombosis

1.3 The most common (ordinary)

The basis of normal operation, which the graduate should certainly be able to solve (start solving) independently

- arrhytmias, valve disease, syncope, dyspnoea, chest pain

2. Skills (practical and non-technical)

2.1 Basic

Each student masters the diagnostic procedure and performed it independently and correctly many (several) times during the course of study

- BP and P measurement, physical examination, ECG interpretation, anamnesis

2.2 Routine

Common procedures - every student performs it at least once independently, has seen it many times and understands it well

- physical examination of a patient with valvular disease, heart failure and vascular disease, thoracic and pericardial puncture, introduction of central venous catheters, basics of echocardiographic examination of the heart, basics of catheterization of the heart, vascular approaches to cardiac catheterization, basics of ultrasound of main arteries and veins

2.3 Optional

Related to the field, interesting or suitable, but for practice there is no capacity in regular teaching. Suitable for elective subjects – percutaneous intervention on coronary arteries and heart valves, catheter treatment of rhythm disorders, cardiac mechanical support, CT a MR imaging of heart   On site + simulation
